When melted
and placed on a wooden peg, Dopping Wax (also known as Setter’s Cement) can
firmly hold pieces in place while gems are set or to hold stones during
polishing operations. Also used for securing cabochons during
lapidary work. This specially formulated low temperature wax is ideally suited
for heat-sensitive gemstone materials such as opal and turquoise.
